Step-by-step instructions for your WILD LIFE treasure hunt

Prepare the treasure chest, stations, and footprints. Bury, hide, or place the mysterious treasure on a tree. Mark the spot with a large X.

Let’s go: The children line up, the instructions are explained, the treasure map is handed out, and the introduction is read aloud. The hunt goes from station to station.

Station 1 - White-Tailed Buck:To find the first part of the treasure map, the children must follow the footprints. First, they must figure out which animal is being searched for, so they follow the correct tracks to the first part of the treasure map – clues according to the instructions guide the children to the 1st station.

Station 2 - Grizzly Bear: Guide the children to the Grizzly Bear using the clues. Once they guess it correctly, show the bear and let the children examine the paws. Now they must find the tracks and follow them to the next station.

Station 3 - Llama: The search is on for the llama. By examining the llama’s hoof prints, the children must find the tracks and follow them to the third station. Once found, snacks are eaten, and the next clues are given.

One by one, all stations are found. The goal is for the children to discover all 7 stations. When the scavenger hunt ends, the children can raid the treasure
